Superplastic Bonding of Electrodeposited Nanocrystalline Ni Alloys

چکیده

Superplastic bonding was performed using electrodeposited Ni and Ni-B to apply low-temperature diffusion of carbon steel. Electrodeposited were bonded at 450℃ in air a strain rate 1 × 10−4 s−1. The shear test measured the bond strength, maximum strength 69 MPa obtained. Since obtained is comparable that by steel 0.5Tm, it possible decrease temperature 0.4Tm applying this boning process. depended on amount increased as range 0.2 0.4. voids interface shrink superplastic deformation with grain boundary sliding, area increases. In alloys, effectively shrinks radius 1-2 µm.

Hot Nanoindentation of Nanocrystalline Ni-W Alloys

High temperature nanoindentation experiments are conducted to assess the activation enthalpy for deformation of nanocrystalline Ni-W alloys, for grain sizes between 3 and 80 nm. Thermal softening becomes less pronounced at finer grain sizes, and the activation enthalpy has an apparent inflection at a grain size near ~10-20 nm, in the vicinity the Hall-Petch breakdown. This inflection is related...

Deformation of electrodeposited nanocrystalline nickel

The mechanisms of deformation and damage evolution in electrodeposited, fully dense, nanocrystalline Ni with an average grain size of ~30 nm and a narrow grain size distribution were investigated by recourse to (i) tensile tests performed in situ in the transmission electron microscope and (ii) microscopic observations made at high resolution following ex situ deformation induced by compression...

High Hardness Nanocrystalline Invar Alloys Prepared from Fe-Ni Nanoparticles

High-density (>98% of full density) nanocrystalline invar alloys with significantly enhanced hardness (>240 in Vicker’s hardness) were prepared by sintering compacted Fe-Ni nanoparticles in hydrogen. The precursor Fe-Ni nanoparticles were synthesized by hydrogen plasma evaporation of bulk Fe61Ni39 alloys. The size and the productivity of the Fe-Ni nanoparticles increased with increasing hydroge...

HIGH-STRENGTH NANOCRYSTALLINE Ni-W ALLOYS PRODUCED BY ELECTRODEPOSITION

Nanocrystalline Ni-W alloys having both high ductility and high strength were produced by electrodeoisition. The plating bath for the electrodeposition contained nickel sulfate, citric acid, sodium tungstate and ammonium chloride, and was operated at various bath concentrations and conditions of electrolysis. The ductility and tensile strength of the deposited alloys are strongly influenced by ...
